Wirebrowser is designed to operate without user accounts, tracking, analytics, or advertising technologies.

2. Data Processing Related to Software Updates

Wirebrowser includes an optional automatic check for new versions.

When the application checks for updates, it sends a standard HTTP request to a Wirebrowser-controlled server. As a result of this request, standard web server logs may record the following data:

• IP address
• User-Agent (e.g. operating system and architecture)
• Date and time of the request

No other personal data is collected.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis

This data is processed solely for the following purposes:

• Ensuring correct operation of the update mechanism
• Monitoring availability and reliability of update services
• Security and abuse prevention
• Aggregate, non-identifying usage signals

The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

4. Data Retention

Server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted.

5. No Tracking or Profiling

Wirebrowser does not:

• Associate requests with identifiable users
• Sell or share data with third parties

There are no advertising or marketing trackers of any kind.

6. Data Sharing

Logged data is not shared with third parties and is accessed only for technical and operational purposes.

The automatic update check can be disabled by the user from the application settings.
